The new Bergmann RCC 600.

Bergmann Maschinenbau, producer of dumpers used in various sectors, is raising attention for the upcoming bauma in Munich. The reason for that is the new crawler carrier RCC600 is introduced to the market, developed and produced in Meppen, Germany. This compact vehicle unites a variety of advantages, which, seen as an entirety, marks a USP. With the “Remote-Crawler-Carrier” (RCC) 600, producers of additional devices are enabled to use this vehicle as a powerbank which carries out the performance of the additional devices in an impressive manner. This has an immense impact on steering, handling and efficient work results.

Partnership with Menke Konstruktion

Its origin marks an initiative from Menke Konstruktion which led to the joint development with Menke contributing their profound knowledge of remote crawler carrier vehicles. Within this partnership, Menke is going to focus on the exclusive national and international distribution of the carrier machine (f.e. as forest or green area maintenance machines MR400 and MR600), whilst Bergmann is going to specialize in various application in the sector of construction industry, f. e.  clearing, milling and ramming.

The Bergmann carrier with the crawler track with its compact dimensions of one meter in height, two meters in length and 1.35 to 1.85 meters in width (due to a hydraulic track extension) is a prime example for performance. A contributing factor is the two-wheel chain guide with hydraulic chain tensioning which eliminates the possibility of the chain coming off. Therefore, extreme tilt positions are not a problem.

Additionally, the notion of the vehicle is defined by its wedge-shaped design which covers up the sophisticated technology in an elegant way.

Technology that speaks for itself

The hydrostatic drive with all of its working functions is maintained by an innovative load-sensing-system with only one pump.

As known with this kind of system, pressure and volume flow can be adapted needs-based. The technical project manager emphasizes: “The operating principle ‘feels’ the actual load, the pump output is adapted accordingly and automatically by special steering units using valves. This continuous adaption of the LS-system to the load changes makes the hydraulic system highly efficient, because energy and therefore costs are factually saved.”

The continuously alterable drive speed has a range from 0 to 8.5 km/h and allows tilt capability and climbing power of up to 55°.

Anyone who is not too impressed yet should notice that when operating with maximum power of 851/min at 280 bar, the work hydraulic system adds itself to enhance the performance. Operating with less power (up to 101/min at 200 bar), another work hydraulic systems activates itself.

The “made-in-Germany”-machine persuades with its current engine technology by Hatz which focusses on compactness and efficiency. The common-rail-principle with external exhaust gas recirculation already meets with the current EU stage V-EPA Tier 4 final.

Multifunctional crawler, steered by remote, best performed

The remote control, equipped with an intelligent steering software, developed and programmed by Bergmann, smoothly acts out carrier vehicle and attachment steering orders. The handling with its ergonomic operator panel is of an impressive effortlessness, perfect and safe working is therefore ensured at all times.

The carrier RCC 600, the multifunctional crawler, is able to perform to a high effectiveness for best work results with as many attachments as possible.

Reverse cooling fans enable the vehicle to operate via remote control and autonomously clean the cooling surfaces. The new multitool-feeling can be used for functions in various sectors like sweeping, milling, ramming, clearing and maintenance of green areas or forests within the partnership with Menke Konstruktion.
